In the working process, it is necessary to frequently observe whether the universal joint shaft has abnormal bearing heating phenomenon and radial swing phenomenon. If these phenomena occur, it must be repaired in time.Appropriate and feasible *protective measures must be adopted in various places that may cause personal and equipment accidents due to the operating universal coupling to avoid such accidents.
 
The universal coupling crosshead, sliding surface, bearing, etc. must be adequately lubricated. In general, use 2# industrial lithium-based grease or 2# molybdenum disulfide calcium-based grease. If working under high temperature conditions, it must be refueled once a week. , Refueling once during 500 hours of continuous operation, and once every 2 months of intermittent operation. When refueling, unscrew the oil hole screws on the bearing end face and inject it with a high-pressure oil gun until it overflows.
 
If the universal coupling is found to be indentation and other normal wear phenomena, it should be replaced in time. Generally, it must be maintained once every 3 months.In order to prolong the service life of the universal coupling, during maintenance, disassembly and washing, the cross shaft is rotated 180° to achieve alternate use of the journal under force; long-term overload use and operation accidents should be avoided.
