Types of Gear Coupling Designs
There are several types of gear coupling designs available, each with its own specific characteristics and applications. The main types of gear couplings are:
- Sleeve Gear Couplings: Sleeve gear couplings consist of two hubs with external gears and a center sleeve with internal gears. The hubs are mounted on the shaft ends, and the center sleeve connects the two hubs. This design allows for angular and axial misalignment while transmitting torque between the shafts. Sleeve gear couplings are suitable for general-purpose applications and offer easy maintenance.
- Continuous Sleeve Gear Couplings: Continuous sleeve gear couplings are an improved version of sleeve gear couplings. - Half Gear Couplings: Half gear couplings, also known as semi-rigid gear couplings, consist of one flexible half and one rigid half. The flexible half has internal gear teeth, while the rigid half has external gear teeth. This design allows for angular misalignment while offering higher torque capacity than fully flexible couplings. Half gear couplings are often used in applications where some degree of misalignment is expected, but not as much as what sleeve gear couplings can handle.
- Full Gear Couplings: Full gear couplings consist of two hubs with external gear teeth that mesh directly with each other. This design provides high torque capacity and is suitable for applications requiring minimal misalignment. Full gear couplings offer excellent torsional rigidity and are often used in precision applications where accurate shaft alignment is critical.
- Flexible Gear Couplings: Flexible gear couplings combine the features of gear couplings and flexible couplings. They consist of two hubs with external gears and a flexible element, such as a membrane or elastomeric material, connecting the hubs. This design allows for some misalignment while providing damping of vibrations and shock absorption.

High efficient air cooling free noise screw air compressor
Energy saving advantages of permanent magnetic frequency conversion two rotors/screw air end:
1. Adopt One-piece shaft of the permanent magnetic motor and the air end
★Permanent magnetic Motor’ rotor is directly sleeved on shaft of the air end, embedded integrated direct-connecting structure, without coupling part or transmission gear, namely one-piece shaft, ensure 100% transmission efficiency.
★Taper connection is adopted for motor, and it can be assembled and disassembled very simply.
2. Adopt permanent magnetic frequency conversion EPT motor
★Permanent magnetic frequency conversion motor is the most advanced technical EPT motor, efficiency can be up to 97%, higher by 3%-5% than ordinary motor with frequency conversion device type, saving energy a lot obviously.
★Permanent magnetic EPT motor adopt high temperature resistance rare earth permanent magnet to ensure no demagnetization. Without motor bearing or sleeve, so no need lubricating grease, no need concern alignment problem, compact structure, saving space, convenient use and maintenance.
3. Wide frequency conversion, constant pressure air feeding
★Frequency application scope (0HZ-200HZ) is wide, and motor efficiency under different load is basically constant.
★The motor is big torque, EPT adaptability and loaded startup.
★The whole machine work in frequency conversion state, and can operate frequency modulation according to the client’s actual requirement of air consumption at constant pressure, realizing high efficiency and energy saving.
5. Running stable and reliable
★Machine starting on frequency conversion state, greatly reducing the impact to the power grid equipment, avoiding of damage to the EPT equipment, and saving EPT energy when starting.
★No need to set working pressure up and bottom limit value, can operate by regulating the frequency at the setting pressure point to stabilize the pressure, so can save EPT energy by 10%-15%.
6. Energy saving a lot obviously
Compared with the fixed speed type compressor, our permanent magnetic frequency conversion compressor can save energy by 30%; compared with the ordinary motor and frequency device type compressor, our compressor can save energy by 5%-10%.

Feature
Type ZJR, ZJM, ZJH Pump are cantilevered, horizontal, centrifugal slurry pump. They are designed for the handing high density slurries in the metallurgical, mining , coal, power, building material and other industrial department etc.
The frame plates liner and impeller for type ZJR , ZJ(M) pumps have replaceable wear-resistant metal liners or rubber liners.
The shaft seals for type ZJ(R),ZJM, and ZJH Pump may be adoptable of gland seal , expeller seal or Mechanical seal . The discharge branch can be positioned at intervals of 45 degrees by request and oriented to any eight positions to suit installations and applications.
Bearing assembly use cylindrical structure, which helps adjust the space between impeller and cover plate liner easily, and being removed completely when being repaired. Bearings use grease lubrication. Here are the drive types, such as V belt drive, gear reducer drive, fluid coupling drive, and frequency conversion drive devices. Wide performance, good NPSH and high efficiency, the pump of this type may be installed in multistage series to meet the delivery for long distance.
