1 Structure and principle before improvementCouplingThe connection situation is: the matching part of the motor and the half coupling 4 is 6mm, the length is 32mm, and there is no keyway on the shaft, which can not realize the key connection to transmit torque. According to the assembly requirements of the motor, the motor and the half coupling hole adopt a transitional fit. In the meantime, the torque is mainly transmitted by the two M5 set screws fixed on the half coupling. During use, this structure has the following shortcomings: (1) There is a line-to-surface contact between the motor shaft and the set screw. The surface is very small and the transmission torque is very limited. (2) The threaded connection does not have the anti-loosening function. After several disassembly and long-term operation, the relative rotation and axial movement of the half coupling shaft and the motor shaft will cause the equipment to fail to work.
2 Improved structure and working principle In view of the above situation, we have improved the structure of the half coupling. First, the half coupling 4 is processed into a finished product, and then the part is divided into a wire cutting machine along the center of the shaft diameter. Two pieces, the main part is the half coupling body and the attachment is the locking block. After the improvement, the main body of the half coupling is far away from the motor end, and the inner hole is complete, which ensures the coaxiality of the motor shaft. The motor shaft, main body and locking The blocks are connected together by hexagon socket screws and spring washers. Since the locking block half-coupling is cut after processing, it will not affect the coaxiality requirements of the main body of the half-coupling and the motor after assembly.With this structure, the original line-to-surface contact of the torque transmission part becomes the surface-to-surface contact, and the contact length in the axial direction increases, which in turn increases the contact area between the motor and the coupling, and can also transmit large When the torque is increased, the spring washer between the hexagon socket screw and the locking block has an anti-loosening effect. When the coupling rotates at a high speed, the hexagon socket screw will not loosen.The coupling of this structure has been verified through actual use and can achieve a good torque transmission. In other small coupling structures, the application of this structure can also achieve many good results.
