CouplingIt consists of two parts, namely the driving shaft and the slave driving shaft. In high-speed and heavy-duty power transmission, some couplings also have the function of buffering, damping and improving the dynamic performance of the shafting.Couplings have different installation methods in different applications to connect the shaft hole and the shaft, so there are different types of semi-coupling sleeves to choose from. The main difference between these forms is whether they use keys, square holes, taper pins, or friction to transmit torque.

There are several types of shaft sleeve connection types of half couplings. The following is an analysis one by one:

Type A. With keyway and set screw: The keyway is positioned and connected to the drive. The allowable transmission torque depends on the allowable pressure on the surface of the keyway. It is not suitable for occasions requiring forward and reverse rotation without backlash.

Type B. Without keyway and set screw: power transmission through hot pressing or bonding between shaft and sleeve.

Type C. Clamping shaft sleeve without keyway: The transmission torque of the clamping connection depends on the size of the shaft sleeve bore.

Type D. Clamping shaft sleeve with keyway: power transmission for clamping connection with keyway. The frictional clamping torque avoids or reduces the backlash of forward and reverse rotation, and also reduces the surface stress of the keyway.

E type. With expansion sleeve type: The expansion sleeve connection can transmit general torque.

F type. With Z type expansion sleeve: The expansion sleeve connection can transmit larger torque. The largest expansion sleeve that can be installed depends on the largest inner hole of the sleeve. The bolts of the expansion sleeve can be installed at the inner end or the outer end.

G type. Shaft sleeve with locking ring: The half coupling and the expansion sleeve are made into one body, which can transmit higher torque. The locking bolt is installed on the side of the elastic body.Suitable for high-speed applications.

H type. Shaft sleeve with locking ring This type is similar to G type, but the expansion bolt can only be installed at the outer end.It is more suitable for radial disassembly of intermediate pipe fittings.

By understanding these coupling sleeve types, different sleeve types are designed to allow the coupling to be used in different occasions.
